Democratic Union is a political party proclaiming itself as a party of the law and order, founded on 25 March 2000 in Skopje.
The subject of analysis in relation to this political party was the election program named as: “Changes, justice, progress” 2016 - 2020", where the human rights and freedoms make part of the introduction section of the program, but are not covered with a separate chapter.
The sexual orientation is covered in the part “ Professional and independent media” as: “Support of the associations’ initiatives and syndicates of journalists for a complete decriminalization of defamation and insult, but also respect for and protection of the truth and the human dignity regardless of racial, political, ethnic, gender, religious, social or sexual affiliation”, hence in the part referring to the “Educational system”, they have envisaged obligatory introduction of the sexual education in the primary and secondary schools.
